As the Pizzaplex started falling into ruin, an island normally only used for AI testing gradually got repurposed into both a facility and also a resort area with a new restaurant and a hotel for a more vacation type of attraction. Now in 2040 it's still a private place closed to the public because it's still on beta testing stage.

The inhabitants are workers, their families and any other additional people connected to them that they may invite as test subjects, sort of, because rather than relying 100% on programming, the animatronics are being tested by interacting with actual people in advance to learn from those interactions and ensure there's no more incidents.

A certain someone snuck his way in and is currently working here, and taking advantage of this place to bring over relatives of the MCI to fulfill their actual ghostly goal, which is reuniting with their families since their bodies were never recovered. He started doing this after noticing the MCI's souls still present within old bots and parts that got brought over and manifesting as apparitions and stuff.

Little do they know that there's more than just employees and animatronics dwelling here...
