Arcanum : Veins of Society

Arcanum : Veins of Society is a low-modern Fantasy in a custom world where an entity made of magic came into being, ruled for several hundreds of years, died, and left behind beings known as Mages. Beings which are capable of casting magic, all unique in their own way, from Pyromancy to Necromancy, almost nothing is off the table for customization.
Humans, seeing the value of Mages, capitalized off this by taking the remains of dead Mages and using them to power their technology, have advanced the world's global connectivity, transport, and weaponry all within a few hundred years, all in order to not be outclassed by Mages.

All of this is wrapped up in a global, silent faction war as various different organizations, religious groups, and companies vie for their own goals that would inevitably destroy or leave the others obsolete. Once a line of tension snaps, there is no telling who will take the first shot. But if or when it happens, it is up to you to take a side or form your own group to stay safe.
