Ruins Of The Phoenix

**Welcome to Neverel.**
A city that hides secrets you never believed, far from any outside connection.

Neverel is peaceful—because it’s designed that way.
Beneath its streets, an undercover laboratory works hard to keep the nightmares contained. Monsters don’t exist here. Until they escape. Until you break a rule.. or until you stand in the way.

When the truth gets out, where do you stand?
Do you protect what was never meant to exist—
or side with the scientists who insist it’s all for the greater good?

---

I've been in this server since it's early days! It's still early, but it already feels pretty well developed!
I enjoy the setting, the lore, and the concept of the stories and the potentials it brings. It's full of people with tons of characters now, operations are speedy and staff/mods are fast at approving + helping others.

Here's what works so far:
- Lore + setting!
The lore and setting are done really well! It's a very cohesive story and seems flexible for changes in the future! I like how it seems that every member has a choice on where to participate in the rp! It's just really well developed. If you want a server that isn't lore-heavy but feels FILLED with lore, this server is for you!

I really like the variety in setting as well :].

- Speeds
Mod speeds are really good! I don't mind waiting- with the amount of character submissions though, it's really good to see!

There are 2 main things I believe could improve for the future! (for me personally).

- Events
i) Timing
The events so far have been quite intriguing! But they're short, and confined to a VERY SPECIFIC TIME. Sure- the community can vote for whenever they would like, but confining an event to a day is harmful.
I noticed this particularly in the first major event, where I personally wished to participate and even made a character for it! I had expected the event to run for 2-3 days- but it ended in the same day. It was my fault for not clearing up my timetable, but at the same time, engagement can be increased by having longer events! It'd just bring some ease of mind and allow for more meaningful and deep interactions, as it prevents people from rushing to get their responses out.
ii) Inclusivity in events
The events so far have been open to anyone, which is nice. But having only a single channel/thread to roleplay in makes it difficult, and frankly, overstimulating to follow. Having a general premise that all participants can follow, even if different channel/threads, can help with the experience.
I also note that the events almost feel to hold well-established and well-connected characters over others who wish to participate. The small space makes it VERY difficult to connect with others, and having a character who hasn't developed many connections yet- it feels very difficult to integrate and enjoy the event in full.
This is because alot of character relationships are already established, and any character that isn't DIRECTLY connected is pushed a little off to the side, making it a bit less engaging. It can be very discouraging for people who are genuinely interested, and are new to the server.

- Ads
I understand the purpose of running ads, I really do. Running ads allows new members to join, but doesn't help *retain* them. Replacing lost members by running ads does not help tackle underlying issues. Rather, the focus should be on understanding *why* people are leaving to begin with. Perhaps by making a feedback forum, where members can come together to give polite + logical criticisms!
This would make it easy for mods + helpers understand and perhaps even implement feedback in an organized manner :]. This may help keep members that are found by ads!

- Community
The community is pretty good! It's.. a little hard to integrate sometimes, but- yeah. More of a me issue.

I really wish there were .5 stars, because I'd give this 3.5/5 right now! I personally like it, and this is more just for constructive criticisms!
