DC: Age of Heirs

DC Prime Earth has evaded, fought and survived impending domination time and time again. With each villain arising, a team or a hero is there to stop it. The opposite however, being true as well. With each victory, came a defeat that crippled the heroes as this endless cycle of good and bad rampaged the planet— and even the galaxy. However, as time passed on, this cycle seemed to finally come to a halt.

Unfortunately- it was not the heroes who halted it. DC New Heir takes place in 2046 where a world where heroes were dismantled, retired, imprisoned or rendered inactive after two decades of fighting and erasure. With their fall, a power vacuum erupted. However with that vacuum, something good and bad filled it. A sense of inheritance, with the next generation of heroes and villains crawling through.

Though these future heroes were fractured apart, the villains grew into a circle. Villainy evolved far more efficiently. Old rogues turned into: syndicate heads, ideological figureheads, prison lords, corporate manipulators, and crime families, passing down methods, resources, and vendettas to chosen heirs long before they were ever captured or killed. With one villain being the kingpin of the unknown yet dangerous antics that controlled the world like a puppet.

However, the remaining shadow, waiting for the perfect opportunity to finish their ancestor's job while the future heroes of today wake up and combat them as best as they can. The question is now, will the world plunge into darkness or will the heroes keep the atonement from their predecessors.
