Skepticism here means slowing down before believing. Ideas are questioned, claims are checked, and assumptions are challenged—not to argue for the sake of it, but to avoid fooling ourselves. Members are encouraged to say “I don’t know” when evidence is weak and to change their minds when better information appears.
Atheism grounds the commune in reality. There is no reliance on divine plans, cosmic guarantees, or supernatural authority. Life is taken as it is—finite, uncertain, and meaningful because of that. Responsibility cannot be passed upward; it stays with us. What we do, choose, and build matters because this is the only life we can be sure of.
Kaniatism gives direction after belief is stripped down. Once illusions are removed, the focus shifts to conscious living—designing values, ethics, and purpose through reason, empathy, and real-world consequences. Meaning is not discovered in scripture or tradition; it is created through action, reflection, and responsibility.
