It was late october when I was stationed here. I hadn't even heard of a place with this name. Angel's Trumpet? It felt familiar in a way, but I knew I'd never been. Can words really draw someone in with such a force? I went, I craved action no matter where I was placed. There were strange warnings everywhere, the other officers didn't seem much for talking. Nobody did, really. The fog never seemed to go away, this was the fog that could cover secrets built up decades.

It's been years since then. I can't stop the scratching at my door. I can't stop the banging at my window. I can't stop the beating of the floor. The days are blurring together and I don't know which sounds are really there anymore. I can smell metal, it never goes away. It never goes away. They never go away. I can't see the moon anymore.
