Had to contact an owner and an admin for verification

This server is very empty and dead. As the title says, I had to contact both the owner and a mod to get verified. I had put in like 6 applications not aware they were being sent through, I thought something was wrong with the bot. When I DMed the owner, I was straight up ignored. I waited almost a month to be let in before DMing an admin who ler me in.
The kicker? The server is dead and empty, because, shocker, no one is being let in. There's nothing interesting here. I will give the server this, it's at least well-organized channel-wise. Other than that, it's just not worth your time due to the headache of a verification system.

Filled out the age verification application on Monday. Now Saturday and there's been no contact at all, can only see the application and rules channels. Application channel shows 61 people with the "unverified" role waiting. There's no channel to ping staff in either, can't chat anywhere until verified.
What's the point in advertising and bumping a server that doesn't let new people in? There is zero excuse to make people wait over a week just to read their birth date. Hard pass, don't bother.
Edit: It has now been nearly a full three weeks and they still have not reviewed applications, yet continue to bump the server and encourage people to join.
