The Sealing tree is a massive black tree structure that formed at the end of the fall. It seemingly put an end to the incursion, forestalling the end of the Soul Society.

The great tree sits atop Sokyoku Hill, its branches reaching endlessly into the sky, forming the ceiling of the world. The canopy of leaves formed by it casts the Seireitei in a light shade.

From the limbs hangs twenty-six skeletons, one for each captain and their lieutenants. Around the base a massive rope, five corpses pinned into it

The tree’s inky black trunk splits open halfway up, lodged within it a massive amber crystal, the vague shadow in the shape of a person at its center.

No leaf has ever fallen from the tree, the common belief is that so long as the tree stands the Soul Society can still return to its former glory
