In 1988, a team of scientists in Tokyo uncovered an ancient artefact that seemed to work like a key. Curious and unaware of its true purpose, they took it for research, unknowingly awakening the underground dwellers, creatures that had been sealed for centuries. The dwellers soon rose to the surface, bringing chaos to Tokyo, then Japan, and eventually spreading their destruction across the world. That day would be remembered as The K Day, and the Dwellers were now known as Kaijus

In 2022, the Japanese Government created a super earth defense force called the A.K.A.I.S., which stands for Anti Kaiju Attack & Investigation Specialist to deal with the dwellers that have been attacking the country, for around 4 years, A.K.A.I.S. has managed to protect Tokyo from the attack of Kaijus, but because of how high the Kaiju attack rate is lately, the government decided to expand their base that were now known as A.K.A.I.S. Central HQ(Tokyo), Iburi(Hokkaido Region), and Kyoto(Kansai Region)
