UC 0090: Deep Blue
Set in the year UC 0090, Mobile Suit Gundam: Deep Blue takes place in an AU where the OYW ended at the Antarctic Treaty with Zeon's victory. Revil never escaped and gave his iconic speech to spur the Federation on to win, resulting in Zeon occupying large portions of Earth. The Federation launched attacks against Zeon on the ground in a war known as the 'Refusal War', while Zeon began attacking the Federation's lunar holdings, seeking to control all of space, igniting three Lunar Wars.
A rebellion saw the split of Federation-aligned Side 1 and the freeing of Sides 2 and 4 from Zeon occupation, resulting in a new faction named the Inter-Side Concordat. Side 6 absorbed Side 7 continued existence as the neutral and independent Republic of Riah. These factions also signed the Antarctic Treaty, protecting them from nuclear attacks.
Since then, a new force named the Deep Blue Enforcement Unit (DBLEU) was formed to prevent further conflicts after the tragic Lunar Wars and the horror of Operation Stardust. Operation Stardust was the first use of a nuclear weapon since the Antarctic Treaty was signed, fired while pursuing the stolen GP01.
Char Aznable attempted a coup in 0088, leading to the assassination of Kycilia Zabi and Gihren Zabi. Upon his failure, and the murder of Lalah at Garma's hands, Casval Rem Deikun leaves for Axis to build up his forces, swearing to return to take Zeon from Garma.
This RP focusses on the Earth Sphere, where President Jamitov Hymen has recently declared war on the Principality of Zeon, aiming to retake the land Zeon still occupies in Africa and the Middle East. Inside Riah, civil unrest brews over worsening working conditions and overexploitation of workers. The Inter-Side Concordat faces issues bringing their idealism to reality as they deal with corruption and factionalism.

Deep Blue: My Experience

I've been here for just a little bit, but from my experience, this is overall a very nice place. Active and kind staff (who are far more knowledgeable than me in matters when it comes to Gundam), a story to actually follow with hopes of expansion, in-depth Mobile Suit choice and customization for those who know how, and interesting new lore to follow this alternate UC timeline.
It's also a good place if you consider yourself a literate roleplayer with plenty of room to develop your character over time. Requires some reading to understand, but it's interesting lore to go over to learn how this new UC has come about. I can only hope that this place stays active and the story continues to evolve especially with the new developments and tweaks to the server.

As the owner of the server, I've had massive involvement in Deep Blue's journey from conception to where it is now. The server has been around since February 2024 and is expected to survive for many more years to come.
My staff team are made up of people qualified for their positions, and are mature enough to not cause unnecessary drama. We have a verification system that filters out bots and idiots, and the community is generally great.
Why is it not a five star review??? Because we're not at the best part yet. Casval and Garma haven't Newtype kissed yet either.
