Teach to Learn

"How soon can I teach this skill?" I was shit at chess, but turns out I could teach it immediately, and this caused my chess game to improve. I did other skills too: a bit of marketing, some programming, exposure therapy, and recently, teaching others how to teach.

You can do it too, and you should. "How soon can I teach this skill?" forces you to organize your knowledge in a way that makes it easy for you to learn well. It helps you memorize concepts, keeps you accountable, and it even helps other people. You're in good hands: I've been doing this for the last 9 years.
