• 🌐 Obscure Internet Stuff :: Web Mysteries are usually found in places on the Internet that are hidden from the public eye, such as the deep web or obscure social media accounts (think of strange YouTube channels, cryptic Instagram accounts, etc.), among many other places.

• 💿 Software—Nmap, zsteg, … :: We use a variety of nerdy, but very, very simple software that you could easily pick up and master. For example:
◦ Nmap is a tool that allows you to analyze and discover what a server on the Internet provides beyond an HTTP/HTTPS website—think of a Web Mystery that involves accessing hidden files that are nowhere to be seen on the actual website but are hosted on the same server.
◦ Zsteg is a program that lets you analyze a steganographic image file (say, a PNG file), and find hidden data encoded within those—think of a photo that contains hidden text in it that just can't be seen with a naked eye.

• 🚧 Projects You Can Help With :: We're happily open to any project ideas! You could collaborate on Python projects that could help us with Web Mysteries, such as mystery-solving utilities, Discord bots that make things more accessible for everyone, text processing, etc.

• ▶ YouTube Content Creation :: Web Mystery Busters is not just a Discord server, it's a welcoming community of people just like you who are enthusiastic and curious about oddities on the Internet. As such, there is also an incentive by us to create a YouTube channel. Think you could help with that?
