Not for Me

The server advertisement felt slightly misleading. It is advertised as a complex literate to novella server and the resources you’re directed to follow are detailed and mentioned the server being “lore-heavy”. The character creation is advertised as “complex” which is certainly true due to filling out an extensive character concept submission which once approved leads to an actual sheet submission and what I assume to be a review. The server rules and resources direct you to several things and I’ll give it credit for being well organized, but the standards and expectations you must follow to seemingly incorporate yourself to the server seemed off putting. I also would say that the server is not “lore heavy”. It’s a historical fantasy focused around doing character ships and they make that clear once you actually join. Outside of the “aesthetic” of it being regency, there’s not really any meat to the bones so to speak. I also noticed some overlap in names of families, and some drafted tidbits of systems that reminded me of other servers. I assume that’s more of an honest and unintended mistake despite the rule saying to not copy or steal anything from their server. At the end of the day, it’s just a roleplay server. I think if you’re looking for a care free “I want to do a ship” this server COULD be for you. If you get past the approval process first.
