Don't come here if you only roleplay in DMs (Updated)

This is coming from someone who primarily roleplays in DMs and has been on quite a few roleplay Discord servers over the past few years.
At first glance, this seems like your typical roleplay server with channels where you can rp publicly or advertise your rp request for DMs. However, as I became a little bit more active within the server it turns out according to the owner and the admin(s) if you only roleplay in DMs, you'll be considered inactive on the server and get kicked from it. Apparently you'll be able to rejoin the server if you got kicked for that reason. I should also note that any character bios you made in this server prior to being kicked for being innactive (or even leaving the server on your own accord) will be deleted. You'll be able to make another bio again, but could be a little tedious if your bio is very long and don't have it saved as a text file on your computer or something. The owner's reasoning is that roleplaying in DMs kills the server's activity. Out of the roleplay servers that I've been on, I've been on a few where roleplaying in DMs didn't negatively impact the activity of the server. In my eyes, it doesn't make any sense for this server (Kat's Private Resort) to even have roleplaying in DMs allowed while they're saying it's a threat to the server's activity at the same time.
Basically this server is really just a roleplay server with a heavier emphasis on roleplaying publicly within the server. I have done public rps before, but I tend to prefer doing them in DMs. If you only roleplay in DMs, this probably isn't the place for you. There are other Discord servers out on Disboard (or wherever else on the internet) you can find that are objectively better alternatives.
I hope the way this server is run and it's rules and such can be improved upon.
EDIT: Okay, so after a few months I decided to go back to check and see if the server had improved since I left. Well, not much had actually changed. Really the only major difference was actually listing all of the rules into a single channel. The rules are practically the same since I last left. Thus, all of the problems I had with how the server is run still persists.
One of the issues I'd like to address involves kicking lurkers, or people who are rarely active within the server. The owner every now and then would make an announcement that you have x amount of time to start becoming active within the server. Otherwise you'll be kicked. The only exception to this is if you tell the owner (or admins) directly that you won't be active if you have work, school, or whatever they deem as a legitimate reason for not being active on the server. Out of the Discord servers I've been on, lurkers are the least of anybody's worries. Well, they leave you be and you leave them be. If anything, making this sort of announcement by telling people to start becoming active within a certain deadline, or they'll be kicked is just pressuring all of the members. You can't pressure people to be active in a server, it's unrealistic.
Another concern that I have regarding the server is how the owner and admin(s) have been handling the reviews here on Disboard, or just any kind of criticism or suggestion. I'm well aware that I'm not the only person with a negative review. However, the owner and admin(s) didn't like what we had to say and called it in their own words: "bullshit." One of the admins pinged me once publicly and told me that my review was "too harsh and bs." I opted not to even bother replying to that. At least I'm making an effort to giving constructive criticism in a civil manner without being disrespectful. One time a member suggested implementing a bot that automatically greets people (like Mee6, Carl-bot, etc.) whenever they join or leave the server. This is because the owner (or sometimes an admin) greets people manually whenever they join the server. The owner's response? A flat out no. Apparently it's been mentioned that the owner has trust issues with people they don't know. If I'm being perfectly honest, you need to have an open mind to people's suggestions when you're a moderator, admin, or even an owner for a server. Otherwise, how would you be able to improve the server? I'm saying this as someone who has actually been a moderator on some Discord servers, even an owner for one in the past.
At the time of updating this review, probably the most important thing that needs to be improved upon are it's rules. Namely not kicking lurkers, either allowing roleplay in DMs completely, regardless of roleplaying publicly or prohibiting roleplay in DMs altogether.
I will make this very clear: I have absolutely nothing personal against the owner and admins of this server. If they still think by considering me a hater and still deem my review bs, that was never my intent to insult anybody and I apologize if they were upset by it. All I'm doing is just giving my feedback, nothing more, nothing less. That doesn't mean I think this is the worst server ever either. The server has the potential to flourish into something great, given the owner and admins actually make an effort to not only improving how the server is run, but listening to people with an open mind as well. If they were able to list all of the rules, they have the capability of improving the server.
As of writing this, the server just doesn't work for me. If it does work for you, then that's great.
