Are you looking to Blop? Join Blops. We'll shout "BLOP" at you over and over again with a metaphorical megaphone and won't leave you alone ever. All you'll ever know if you join *is* Blop, and each day would be Blopiful.

All jokes aside, here's a serious server review with point breakdowns--
Blops is a community I've been searching for ages, and it's everything I've always wanted in a space. A low barrier to entry, an incredibly easy way of making friends without needing to spend countless weeks establishing yourself, and a sense of belonging in a tight-knit friend circle such as Blops', but without any of the cliques you see in other servers, where it's downright impossible to get to know anyone let alone the mods. Not a problem here whatsoever, the mods and the members here give you every opportunity to engage with and befriend them.

I've been present since its opening on the 13th of January, and since then, an avid contributor here, and while I did have to wait to be able to write this review, I thought carefully about what I wanted to write about, specifically. There's so much I could begin with or include, so I'll do my best to encapsulate how I felt upon first joining and throughout my time being here.

As mentioned, cliques aren't an issue. People here are easy to talk to aswell as with, they'll always respond to you, and if for some reason they don't, there's a tendency to emoji react here, so you'll always know your words aren't just being sent to the equivalent of a void. That's one of my favourite parts of the culture here, as someone who often worries upon entering a new space if what I'm saying is even being read when I don't get an obvious and clear reply back.

Perhaps the first time in a server where I would wholeheartedly say the closeknitedness of the mod team is one of the server's strengths and not one of its weaknesses. Like any social space, you'll get plenty of jokes and chaotic mishaps (I know you're reading this, mod team), but you'll never feel like you're being innately kept from it by virtue of being a newcomer no one knows yet, they gladly welcome you and will personally try to include you into their conversations to actually get to know you. I can't think of a single other server I'm currently present in who fulfills a similar need in demographic and has the entire server be overly willing to include more people in their circle.

All the people here are genuinely wholesome and open-minded, you can hold discussions about whatever's on your mind, including ones of the more serious varieties. There are dedicated channels to discuss your own interests in (e.g. music, writing, and a general hyperfixations channel) and many people will try to engage with what it is that interests you, rather than overpost. You will hardly, if ever, be ignored here, someone is guaranteed to respond to what you say. If it's also of interest, everyone here is hilarious aswell, I've found myself laughing at many of the absurd posts in the memes channel, personally.

Blops is also a minimalist space, which I would consider an appealing factor. Most servers typically have a few role-locked categories, which greatly becomes overwhelming when you're unsure how half the server channels are meant to be used, but Blops here has none of that confusion. You get a dozen or so channels for different aspects of yourself like identity and hobbies, and the roles are just as straightforward (e.g. having pronoun and boundary options). If you ever have a problem or get confused by something you can always go to the mods for help, they are lenient enough on some of their rules so don't worry about getting obliterated if you go slightly off-topic in a channel.

Anywho, that's enough of my rambling. I've never written a review until now, and so my first attempt may be a tad bit messy, which I'd apologise for but I think it adds to the authenticity that I, a first-time server reviewer on Disboard, found this server so greatly welcoming I'm willing to attempt giving a review.
I'd highly recommend this server for anyone who's been looking for an all-about, all-plurality-safe safe space for adults, as well as a place for anyone (not specifically \just\ plurals) to make friends in and feel safe talking about what interests you in a judgement-free community.
What the mods, and by extension, the server, have going on here is unique, something I've certainly seen other servers aspire towards as their main goal, but not with quite the level of success Blops has. Blops is fairly active and has the most welcoming array of staff members and regular members I've ever met in a space, period, and I've made many friends here.

(P.S. You should heavily consider joining if Toby Fox is at all an interest for you, too. There are frequent discussions about Deltarune here, and at least two the mods present are self-described Deltarune nerds.)
