For much of history, they slipped beneath notice. Their cults were small and secular, and their influence, while present, was faint. From beyond the veil, the Old Gods, the Pantheon, waited. Across the span of centuries, their followers peeled away at existence itself.

Until, finally, a window was open. Through deals and worship, they planted their children, the Godspawn.

Now, years later, their spawn has grown. The veil has thinned enough to be noticed. Godspawn everywhere are rallying followers, building cults.

Not all godspawn are outright threats, though. Some god-touched may wish to go against their enigmatic masters. And even those that don't, well...why not offer them a second chance?

Thus, the Synodic University was formed. A college dedicated to guiding god-tied and training human students in supernatural matters.

However, not all is well. Humans are understandably wary of the more...godlike Godspawn. Some God-tied take offense to the limitations put on them.
