I’ve been a member for celestial since april last year, and as someone who always vouched for the server and that it’s “not always as bad as people say” this isn’t the truth and I’ve had to leave due to my own mental health even though I was once a part of the staff team so you can trust my word.
There’s been constant and often issues with moderation, such as focusing on others trying to pass automod more than the ones that are actively being problematic, I’ve been harassed and ridiculed by many members and the staff seem to just keep them there to boost server activity. Which putting others down just to boost server activity just isn’t okay. I’ve been told by a mod themselves that’s the reason they keep bringing a certain someone back too.
Next, is just the pure negativity. Most people join mid argument or mid debate which if you know celestial you know usually doesn’t go well. All people do is fight and argue and it just isn’t a positive environment for anyone. There’s racism, ableism, and other types of discrimination, and the staff just pass it off as “a difference in opinion” which in any other server honestly wouldn’t slide.
I loved my time in celestial but I can’t stay any longer, I hope the staff finally realise that the server is honestly very problematic and that all the negative reviews are unfortunately true like I denied for so long.
I love some of the people there but not enough to stay in such a toxic environment goodbye celestial <3
