Over two hundred and fifty years after Aegon’s conquest, King Aegon VI Targaryen sits the Iron Throne as the 16th Targaryen king. But his abrupt end at the hands of King Daemon IV Blackfyre puts the realm in jeopardy. His heir, a boy of just two-and-ten years inherits the mantle of king, but there are big shoes he has to fill. His uncle, Prince Baelor, is more than happy to aid the young king, but he too often seems to eclipse his nephew’s authority. Kingmaker, they call him. And kingmaker he is.
Ten years have passed since the king’s ascension to the throne. While peace has been maintained in the greater picture, small conflicts erupt constantly across Westeros. The discontentment of the high lords with their Targaryen rulers has only opened up a path for the ambitious Blackfyre claimant across the Narrow Sea. The legacy of the Black Dragon still lives on, but this time, they mean to launch a flawless campaign, with fire and blood.

La défaite des Loyalistes à l’Herberouge marque un tournant irréversible. Le roi DAERON II TARGARYEN, brisé, abdique et cède le trône à la maison FEUNOYR.
DAEMON FEUNOYR, tombé au combat. Son fils aîné, AEGON IER FEUNOYR, ceint désormais la couronne, héritant d’un royaume encore en cendres. Dans le chaos, les dragons rouge se dispersent.
MAEKAR TARGARYEN, arraché de force à la bataille, fuit vers le sud. Blessé et traqué, il n’emporte avec lui que l’espoir d’un retour. Son épouse DYANNA DAYNE, leurs deux fils et AERYS TARGARYEN ont pris la mer pour Lancehélion, où ils espèrent trouver refuge auprès de Daenerys Targaryen et de la maison Martell.

The year is 268 AC, and King Aelorr the Irascible sits the Iron Throne. Plagued by paranoia and visions, the Seven Kingdoms are ruled in all but name by the Lord Hand and the Small Council, made from the ranks of honorable men, wealthy lords, and adept schemers.
When the King commanded that his son, the much loved Prince Rhaenor, be executed for treason, the peace that reigned since the end of the War of the Ninepenny Kings waned considerably. All across the realm, anger and ambition have fermented. Lords now openly resist their masters, and the whole of Westeros threatens to tumble into chaos. Many Lords speak of a brighter future, where they may govern themselves as they did in the days before the Conqueror. There is just one small issue:
Winter is Coming.
The enemies of the crown sit beleaguered, tired from war, failed rebellions, famine, or internal conflicts. Only the Crown and its allies seem fully prepared to weather the storm of a years long freeze. As the season changes and the King’s condition worsens, there is no more room for heroes and dragons. This is an age of corpses and cold. This is an age of Crows and Vultures.

The songs always warned us about the Long Winter. Every septon preached it. Every maester dismissed it.
Then the cold stayed through spring, and nobody was dismissing anything anymore.
Crops failed. Keeps went dark. Things moved south of the Wall that wore the shapes of men but breathed no warmth into the air. The smallfolk called it what the old songs always had. The maesters swallowed their pride and called it the Great Darkness, and left it at that.
Three dragons ended it. Three riders drove it back village by village, coastline by coastline, until it retreated to the edges of the world past the grey water where no ships return from. That was several generations ago.
The riders are statues now. The realm survived, but the map was redrawn in the chaos. Old houses fell. New ones rose into seats that weren't always theirs. The wounds were plastered over, declared healed, and quietly left to fester.
King Jaehaerys III builds roads and fills granaries and calls it peace.
Not everyone agrees.

L'accession au pouvoir du nordien Bran Stark 🐺 au sommet de la pyramide féodale ouestrienne ne fut pas au goût de tous, loin de là !
Les Tyrell 🌹 furent dépossédés de leur fief en faveur d'un vulgaire mercenaire sans prendre en compte les fils ainés de Lord Mace Tyrell 🌹; les dorniens ☀️et les fer-nés 🐙 eurent la rage de ne pas se voir accorder leur indépendance, pourtant réclamée depuis des siècles qui fut pourtant concédée au Nord qui n'avait jamais eu cette prétention avant la reine Sansa et le futur seigneur de la maison Lannister 🦁 découvrit les sales coups menés par Bran et son traitre compagnon Tyrion.

Le soleil du long été, déjà pâle, effleure à peine les toits de Port-Réal ce 1er jour de l’an 321. Chacun sait qu’il touche à sa fin. Les anciens se souviennent encore du terrible hiver 305-310, le plus meurtrier depuis des générations. Pourtant, aujourd’hui, la ville vibre de joie.
Les crieurs royaux parcourent les rues en fanfare :
“Oyez ! Oyez ! Par ordre de Sa Grâce Aegon VI Targaryen, le Magnanime, tous les meilleurs chevaliers des Sept Couronnes ont été conviés au grand tournoi d’affrontements sur les ruines de Fossedragon, en l’honneur de la fête du prénom du roi !”
Vingt-trois ans après la Rébellion du Tueur de Dragon, où le prince Aemon trancha la gorge de son père Rhaegar sur les rives du Mander, le royaume respire enfin. Aegon le Magnanime a pansé les plaies : il a interdit la polygamie après lui, apaisé la Foi, et gracié les fils des vaincus. La paix est fragile, mais réelle.
Les plus grands seigneurs et chevaliers du royaume sont rassemblés. Certains viennent pour la gloire et les 200 dragons d’or promis au vainqueur. D’autres pour nouer des alliances ou simplement festoyer. Mais les plus âgés n’oublient pas : la défaite de Robert Baratheon au Trident, puis la guerre du Tueur de Dragon. Aujourd’hui, chacun a son objectif… et tous n’ont pas forcément de bonnes intentions.
