You thought the war was over for the small village of Himenlihter! People have begun to rejoice, and gods have begun to sing! A war has plagued the world for what felt like years, over what felt like a slight disagreement. Everything felt like it was coming together!
Worshippers of every Pantheon house were met in the town square, singing and dancing like the disagreement had never taken place. For a moment, you felt your body relax. Muscles untensed, and your body merged with the beat of the drums. You didn't expect your entire world to crumble in a matter of minutes.
Within a matter of minutes, faces ripped off of those around you, their bodies collapsing to the floor like puppets with their strings cut. And without thinking, you ran as fast as your legs could take you to a nearby storm shelter. Surprisingly enough, 20 other people had the same idea as you.
In the corner sat a young adult tiefling, their eyes clenched as tears streamed down. You assumed tragedy had struck their family, but you didn't ask.
As the sounds faded and the group moved to leave, a thick fog clouded the group. You felt your vision blur as you collapsed backwards into a pile with your other bunker-mates...
