Tougokami High Academy — Established 1836. For over a century, Tougokami High has stood as one of Japan’s most respected schools, famous for producing legendary athletes, top students, and undefeated champions. Located near the outskirts of Kyoto, the academy mixes old traditional architecture with modern buildings, creating a campus filled with history and ambition. In the year 2010, the school enters a new era as students from across Japan transfer in, all hoping to make a name for themselves. The campus is massive. Tall sakura trees line the walkways leading to the main courtyard, while the front gate — carved from dark stone with the school’s name engraved in Japanese — welcomes every new student. The gymnasium echoes with the sounds of basketballs and volleyballs nearly every evening, and the martial arts dojo remains active long after sunset. Clubs run almost nonstop throughout the school year, from Cooking Club and Art Club to Martial Arts Club, Music Club, Student Council, and the mysterious Occult Club hidden on the third floor of the old campus building. Tougokami is not an ordinary school. Rivalries between clubs are intense, tournaments are treated like wars, and reputation means everything. Delinquents roam certain hallways after class, first-years struggle to survive the pressure of upperclassmen, and whispers about strange events around campus continue spreading every semester. Some students believe the school hides secrets connected to its past — secrets buried somewhere beneath the academy itself. Every student at Tougokami has a goal. The school year begins in April of 2010. Cherry blossoms fall through the air as new students arrive at the academy gates. Anew story is about to begin.
