Earth was once a hellish place to be. Ruthless beasts destroyed anything in their path. No where was safe. Then, the Guardians sealed them away in the Other realm, and went quiet. For years, humanity thrived.. until a rift opened up in the sky and all the beasts came pouring out. The world was sent into chaos in a mere few hours. Human weapons proved useless against them. Massive spires suddenly erupted from the ground, creating safe zones around them.

Safe zones became overcrowded. Resources plummeted. Something had to be done.

Some humans had gained powers overnight. Though many struggled to use their powers, it became apparent they worked against the beasts after an incident in Lithuania.

Many of these humans were- despite the high risk- transported to a research facility in rural Canada, where they would hopefully learn to control their powers and fight back against the beasts one day.
