One fateful morning a North Park power plant made the news. A couple of its employees were responsible for a drastic accident, leaving a radioactive spill unattended and infecting the local wildlife. Animal services did their best to contain the situation, but just a month later an absurdly mutated creature was found by a photographer in the woods. The photographer could not outrun the beast.

With a new taste for blood, these abominations spread steadily across the United States. The men were drafted to war, their wives following them to tend to their injuries. As for their children? They were trusted with the future of their species, divided into two main groups and stowed underground with limited weapons and resources to survive. Little does the cast of our favourite mountain town know is that amidst this life or death scenario, otherworldly forces are also at play.
