Been with good Fortune since the beginning.
Mods are quick to fix issues when asked and friendly towards new players.
Happy sitting on mod team now and helping the server grow.

Been with some of the staff for two servers, so I'm not gonna have fun saying this but:
Would've been a good server. The staff are nice, the setting is good, and the members are actually nice. Miraculously, the server owner manages to ruin it. A character of mine was: Polymorphed into a toad by an angel, taken to a court house full of angels, had their body slowly be disintegrated (nat 20 save, lost my hands), had their mouth begin to be sewn shut, and was asked if they're sorry before being killed. What warranted this crime on a level 4 character? Using their Horizon Walker ability to say, and I quote, 'oh, the lady with the portal?'. If you're curious, this character also needed to have their lore changed because the owner thinks that a race (Simic Hybrid) getting one of their racial languages is bad if they're not a Vedalken. And if you thought this was an extreme, isolated incident, rest assured that the owner has said on several occasions that they like to punish characters (like the time they full on kidnapped the rogue in a session White Van style for walking around a town), made another player change their entire race days after approval because they forgot to say something about Dragonmarks, and has on several occasions refused to answer questions or been condescending when you do ask. As I'm writing this, the owner has literally just said 'I get to break another character~'.
Oh, and at the time of writing this, the co-owner has made a total of 40 posts in the entire server. Because what's better than a terrible owner? A terrible owner and a co-owner who doesn't do anything.
I'm genuinely sorry to the friends I have in this server, especially those amongst staff."

I have been on this server since the beginning. Some friends of friends formed the server in response to the moderators of our old server making poor decisions and running the place into the ground. That's another story. Now, I must credit the community and staff. There's a lot of work put into the setting and organizing the server, the homebrew is a nice touch without being too confusing, the regulars are kind, and there is an active roleplaying scene. Although, admittedly, if you are looking for longform, literate roleplaying, you may be disappointed, as the majority of the responses you will find are simply one or a few lines of dialog with little in the way of description or character development. But this is hardly the main problem. The server owner is quite honestly a menace. He has boasted repeatedly about how he enjoys killing low-level characters for his own amusement, and he makes good on his threats. I have watched him kill off a friend's character by throwing monsters intended for a level 15 encounter at their level 3 character, and a separate friend's rogue was kidnapped for simply exploring the city, after which the session was ended and no follow-up session to rescue the kidnapped rogue was ever given. One of my own characters was abruptly pulled away from the party and railroaded into behaving a certain way on the threat of instant death. This same character of mine was also forced to change her race because the server owner arbitrarily decided it was "too powerful" after I played it for a while. As if this was not enough, he does not communicate on crucial rulings with the rest of the staff and is generally inconsiderate of others in and out of game. Not to mention, the co-owner is hardly present at all.

And so we end our story with an owner and co-owner that have become the very things they swore to free us from in terms of moderation. If you like pointlessly unbalanced, deadly games and can live with heavy handed, arbitrary rulings combined with long periods of poor communication from the owner, then you might enjoy the games... when they happen. At the moment, games are relatively infrequent, and frankly, I lost interest by the time I was prepared to run my own. Perhaps if there were more DMs and a better owner, I would enjoy this server. But at the moment, it is not for me.
