Shadows of London is amazing

I may be lurking more than plotting lately, but every time I peek back into Shadows of London I immediately remember why this server has kept my interest. The staff are fantastic, the setting is awesome and hearing about other people's scenes turns into a lovely storytime hour. Honestly one of the few VTM spaces that still feels genuinely alive instead of held together with duct tape and passive aggression.

I’ve been in many VTM communities over the years, and honestly, Shadows of London has been one of the most immersive and rewarding experiences I’ve had. The atmosphere manages to balance deep political intrigue, personal horror, and character-driven storytelling without losing the feeling that every action matters.
The staff clearly care about the setting and the players. Storylines feel alive, consequences carry weight, and there’s a real sense that the city evolves through player actions rather than everything revolving around a handful of people. Whether you enjoy Camarilla politics, occult mystery, social manipulation, combat, investigation, or slow-burn character drama, there’s room for all of it here.
The lore integration is fantastic, especially for players who enjoy deeper VTM themes like clan culture, thaumaturgy, sect politics, and moral degeneration. At the same time, newer players are still given opportunities to learn and participate without feeling pushed aside.
If you’re looking for a VTM server with strong writing, meaningful storytelling, engaging players, and a setting that actually feels alive, I absolutely recommend Shadows of London.

I've been here about a year now and it's become my favored place to both hang out and write rps.
As a ND transfem I feel quite safe here, within RP and OOC. I always feel like there's a level of safety and control to my interactions. Due to the nature of the game we can touch on darker topics without it getting overbearing, the few times things have gotten uncomfortable ooc I've reported it to staff and they've handled it swiftly. It's clear to me that while we joke around a ton, the staff takes the health of the community and the game seriously.
It's the kind of place where you won't get judged for the content of your character, but if you're not chill OOC you will be.
I like to examine darker themes and topics through writing, and I genuinely feel that this is a safe space for that. Also if there are themes I don't want to touch on in my stories, I can let staff know, they will take note of it and exclude it from my stories.
What more? The world itself is expansive, and rather than being solely player driven the plot is driven primarily by player-and-storyteller scenes.
While you earn xp for writing player-to-player scenes the only way your character really improves is through storyteller scenes, ensuring that what you get to spend xp on is relevant to the story. Thus we do not have players hoarding tons of xp and stats solely to powergame and bully other players, something I've seen a lot in other places.
This game is really for the people who love to put soul into their writing, for the stories between the players, the world and the relationships therein.
