Months, the United States experienced an unstoppable nosedive into apocalyptic anarchy and violence. The 'necrotic filovirus' and its accompanying 'contagious aggression syndrome' has resulted in the deaths of at least fifty million Americans, according to a wildly conservative estimate.
As members of the Maine National Guard, it's your responsibility to maintain the U.S. Army's grip on the Skelton Hydro Project, a satellite outpost of the Saco River Safe-Zone that comprises Factory and Springs Island.
The former commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Kade Sellers, was killed back in April, along with most of the other officers and men. His XO, Major Johnathon Hodges, managed to take control of the remaining National Guard and police forces in the Saco Bay area. The following months wore on him heavily. He's a shadow of his former self, no longer able to function.
You and your buddies are not much better. Depressed psychos in fatigues carrying guns; after the Food Riots in earlier June, a lot of suicides have been going around. You can only kill so many men, women, children trying to get a granola bar.
Skelton is the place where the screwups go, or FUBAR squad. Get that place up and running and establish comms with other survivor camps, and don't get eaten!

It's isolated from the rest of the world; It's beautiful in it’s scenery, it's sole village rich in tradition, and one large school; SilverThorn Academy.
If by the slim, tiny chance you find someone who does know the school, they will tell you how it produces only the top students with only the top grades. It’s a beautiful place, they can guarantee that much at least. You can’t apply to SilverThorn, it’s practically unheard of. So how do you get in? Simple: They call you in.
