At some point in the recent past, the worlds of Detective Comics and Marvel collided. No one knows exactly how it happened. Some blame a cosmic accident, others point to reality-warping powers, and a few think the universes were always destined to cross. Whatever the cause, the result was the same: two separate worlds were folded into one. Cities that once existed in different worlds now coexist on the same Earth. The universes merged approximately a year ago. Most heroes have become aware of one another, but many relationships are still new.

A mysterious substance known as *Remnant* has begun appearing throughout the world.
No one knows exactly what it is or where it came from.
Villains across the world, but mainly in the United States, have been able to recover from their injuries *extremely* quickly. Like nothing ever happened.
At the moment, all known samples of Remnant seem to trace back to a single source. Exactly who is producing it, and/or how, remains unknown.
As Remnant continues to spread through criminal circles, heroes are doing their best to uncover the truth while villains seek to harness its effects for themselves.
Whether Remnant is a scientific breakthrough, a weapon, or a byproduct of the universe merger is still unclear.
One thing is certain:
Remnant is upping the game for villains, and its influence is only beginning.
