hawkins, in, has always been perfectly ordinary. it was a town where everyone knew each other, and where nothing exciting ever seemed to happen. however, this small town idyll was disrupted in the fall of 1983. while attending a party at the harrington house, barbara holland disappeared without a trace. in the following days, every person present was questioned, yet no one was charged. everyone had an alibi that was indisputable, and each lead seemed to bring the police to a dead end. with no solid answer, the case inevitably went cold.

the citizens of hawkins attempted to return to a sense of normalcy. they moved on, and any mentions of barbara holland were few and far between. life went on as it always had, and familiar routines made it easy to ignore the unease lurking beneath.

as fall returned, however, that “normalcy” was interrupted once again. anonymous calls were sent out, each with threatening messages hidden behind horror movie trivia. initially, it seemed like nothing but taunts directed at a past tragedy, but these instances soon grew in extremity. news of killings began to spread through the media, and they were linked to a single masked culprit—ghostface.

now, the darker reality was impossible to ignore, and as fear began to spread, so too did suspicion. with the killer’s identity remaining unknown, anyone could be under that haunting mask. your goal is to solve the mystery that the hawkins p.d. can’t, before the killer’s hunger for blood strikes again.
