The Masquerade (18+) is new take on a concept that's been ruminating for potentially decades. It takes the script of ordinary feral RP and flips it upsidedown, featuring darker themes and serious elements that reflect the harsh reality of survival and sacrifice.
It's a place where you can start, and by just participating, can become part of something amazing.
Need I mention the wonderful tidiness of how the server is organized, the amazing people who are very welcoming and friendly, or even Amber, the server owner, who does so amazing at her job with being inclusive and ensuring that no wrongdoers break the rules? I've been a member of this group since its conception and I've always felt more than welcome. The writing is clever and creative, and it stands out to me as different from many of the wolf roleplay communities that I've been apart of due to the darker focus. Despite the nature of the concept, everyone is incredibly friendly and thoughtful, it has an excellent focus on consent regarding roleplaying participants, and nobody is expected to do more than they are comfortable with nor are they shamed for their individual boundaries. It's a safe community to explore dark themes in and I have great respect for Amber and the space she has created for us.
