Rust: The Infection [STEX]

*In 2003, the Apollo Victoria Trainyard was once a land of innovation, peace, and community. now its no more a place of glory, but a graveyard of its own inhabitants. Engines stumbled mid-run, coughing black ash. Sparks flew where there should have been steam. And those who stood closest swore they saw something spreading down the rails, like rust with a pulse.*

*a repair on scene released a statement describing the yard,* “They weren’t just sick… they were *dead.* i saw it with my own eye. That rusted train started it all. They all are to blame. Don’t tell me it didn’t because i saw what they did.”
*Since that night, more have fallen. A cough becomes brain fog, brain fog becomes rust, and rust becomes rage. Some engines don’t stay dead when they finally collapse< they get back up, stripped to frame and wire, wearing the voices of the ones they loved.*
*The Apollo Victoria is no longer a raceyard. It is a quarantine zone. And the sickness is still spreading.*
