*Who are the Transylvanian Saxons?*

The Transylvanian Saxons are descendants of the Teutonic knights that settled in Transylvania during the Medieval Ages, brought in by the King of Hungary to protect the land from invasions, they originated from the Moselle-Francone region, around modern day North Western Germany, but they were called "Saxons" by outsiders because the personal guard of the Hungarian Guard was made up of knights from Saxony, and everyone associated the germanic people in Transylvania with Saxons.
