Mountain’s Basin Herd
Welcome to, 𝙈𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣’𝙨 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙣 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙙 !
We are a 18+ horse community centered around Ecos: La Brea (we also accept members who will turn 18 within a month).

✱ Scheduled sessions three times a week (10pm/22:00 CET mid week and 8pm/20:00CET Saturday)
✱ An extra session on alternate times to favorite EU and non EU time zones
✱ Bands and Harems for diverse social dynamics
✱ Temporary Bachelor Bands that come and go twice a month
✱ Foaling seasons
✱ Balanced realism guidelines, adapting them to our game mechanics and rank system.
✱ Training Sessions to help new people into realism

Our community is welcoming and patient with new members, and we always strive to improve both the server itself and the sessions we host. The stories of our characters are constantly evolving and intertwining, which keeps the roleplay engaging and dynamic. The server is also simple and easy to navigate, and includes a guide called “the handbook” that answers the most common questions.
The only thing we ask is mutual respect, fair play, and that the guidelines and rules are read before joining your first session.

i've been part of this server for over a year now, and lemme tell you, it has been such a wonderful experience being a part of this server and community!
the organization of the server is beautifully laid out, members are friendly and always willing to help newcomers, and sessions are handled in such a fun and immersive way!
i'd be lying if i said i wasn't addicted to this server from the moment i joined XD
if you're on the fence about joining, i say do it! The server is regularly updated with new features and suggestions, and there is so much room for lore and potential for all characters created here :D
and don't be overwhelmed when you join, trust you'll get used to it all really quickly!
i've made some genuine connections with amazing people in my time with Mountain's Basin Herd and am so happy to have a safe, welcoming community to chat about all my nerdy interests and to just have fun in ♥

I've been in a couple of Ecos horse servers over the years and so far MBH has been the most well constructed I've seen!
Characters are able to be their best selves up to the realism standard, with lots of different coats variations or additional mutations via the in-server store.
If ever you're unsure of your skills when it comes to realism, staff have always been willing to help give advice on how to better your RP and your character as a whole. The training sessions have certainly helped, too!
Overall, it's a nice community and if you're newer to Ecos servers, this is a great place to start and get yourself acquainted with everything.

Used to be my favorite but...

this server most recently started to become very conflicted in what it wants to be, do they want to be semi-realism... realism or hyper realism? with the swift changes you never know
The concerns haven't been handled and adressed properly, I mean... when you have influx of lone mares and the only solution is to let one stall become band to fit all the lone mares... yeah- Very concerning how really lone mares need to shove themselves at the front to maybe maybe not be accepted is depressing.
I left server for a while hoping that the change would happen but not too much changed. agression still visible, favorism still present.
favorism is present in several different cases ; for example when someone had ticket open on them several times due to the fact their character is "too scary" meanwhile then few days later we see a bloody coated stallion filled in even after stallion apps had been closed for decent amount of time? 🤨 Or when one mare can have enlarged canine teeth but if someone else wants and gives good background info behind that they can't. Not to mention ppl hoggling rare mutations like brindles, quaggas, donkeys, dwarfisms, chimeras...
Another point - This is far from realism, there are main charcter and side characters... as a normal member you should mentally prepare to be background character with unnoticed lore and lack of attention while staff and those close to them basks in glory 👍
Overall, dissapointing and exhausting. I thought that after adressing the issues and concerns they would be properly handled not thrown aside... this review comes for a member who before their leave had been hyper active (attending 3/4 sessions and in often cases even 4/4)
You would have better chance for your character to be noticed on another server, I apologise. New me would recommend MBH but current me sadly can't due to how painfully alot it had changed.
