The roleplay is set in a supernatural, folklore-inspired world where immersion and storytelling are at the heart of everything!

Stories take place in an alternate world, set roughly between the 1700s and 1800s, blending Victorian, Gothic, Regency, and Renaissance influences. The tone is dark, atmospheric, and melancholic, think supernatural horror, folklore, dark academia, and a slow-burn slice of everyday life and romance.

This world is haunted by strange phenomena known as Apparitions, which can range from demons, ghosts, cursed objects, strange creatures, to mysterious events that defy explanation. Among ordinary people walk Seers, those who can interact with and deal with these Apparitions. The whole of the supernatural is studied at the two most prestigious academies in the Uyna Empire.

The roleplay focuses on immersion, depth, and fun! Every character has an occupation, like professors, guards, medical practitioners, business owners, innkeepers, students, farmers, artists, merchants, underbelly smugglers, even members of secret societies. Even ordinary scenes, like buying bread, holding rituals, running a business, attending lectures, are things we love to see roleplayed out. Bringing everyday life to life is something we truly care about!

Of course, there are also broader storylines, mysteries, and events unfolding, the usual complex plots and stories with lasting consequences that shape the world and its lore. Every story matters!

What we're looking for:

True Human Tribulation, at it's core is a Urban Fantasy anthology series about an average human rising up to face the supernatural. That's the general idea of the series, but it may evolve as more entries are made.

This server serves as a place of which you can keep track of projects related to the series, and share media that aligns with the series' main idea and themes.

The series is still technically in it's infancy with there only consisting of two games that I made. I intend it to be a collaborative project which anyone could contribute to.
