.⋆♱ Tangled within bramble and thorns, a patinaed journal lay partway open.
[❦] ― I thought it’d be enough. Drain a bag of pig’s blood down his throat and he’d get up again. God, I know I should’ve stayed, made sure, but I couldn’t bear looking at it, smelling it. I thought maybe he hadn’t seen me. Maybe he’d come back and I could pretend nothing happened and there’d be no body laying in that damn park.
[❦] ― Now, it’s gone alright. Im sure the only thing left is an outline in its place. News said the police had the place blocked off by daybreak, and the sun’s fallen thrice since. I’ve only just mustered the courage to read the papers that have piled up at my door.
[❦] ― My life in this place ended alongside his that night. I’m no genius, didn’t plan for things to go the way they did, so I feel it’s only a matter of time until they close in on me. Really I shouldn’t even be writing this. I should burn these pages, burn these papers. I should get rid of the clothes I was wearing too. Leave it in the dump and let it all be incinerated.
