WHISPERS BEYOND THE TREES is a long-term, 18+ wolf roleplay built on psychological horror and religious ambiguity. Once there was one pack. Then came hunger, sickness, and the iron teeth of Twolegs, and the pack split into four: Greyspire (mountain), Mistmoor (swamp), Thistlehide (forest), and Silverrush (river). For generations they have watched each other from afar, trading whispers, blood, and silence for survival.
Now the moon rises bruised and bitten. Star-speech rides the wind. Silverrush runs warm and the fish go belly-up in the shallows. In Mistmoor, the Drown-Sick wait for a chewing sound in the belly that never comes. At the borders, forest-cat warriors prowl the scent-lines, and something ancient sleeps beneath the timbers of an old paper mill. The packs are afraid. The packs are hungry. And the Maw has not fed in a very, very long time.
This is Book One: The Blinking, a slow-burn plot told in twelve phases across three acts, advancing on RP, not the calendar. Player choices carry real consequences for pack standing, territory, and the slowly cracking faith every wolf shares in the Maw.
We offer personal character channels and pack dens, wolf-cat border diplomacy on Warrior Cats lake territory, NPCs and adoptables, D&D-style mechanical depth, and 24/7 text RP supported by a custom Discord bot tracking hunger, disease, bonds, combat, and legacy across generations of wolves.
Open roles across all four packs: alphas, advisors, diplomats, medics, hunters, scouts, guards, foragers, caretakers, elders, and apprentices, plus pups, juveniles, loners, rogues, and Twolegs or forest cats, etc for those who want to play something other than wolf.
Mature themes (cannibalism, etc), character death, and slow-burn horror are part of the story we are telling. Mod applications are open!

Since her introduction as a Prime Asset, Liliya Bogomolova's influence has slowly spread through every level of the facility like disease ravaging a leper. Reagents, starved for a gospel other than Easterman's false reincarnation, have begun devouring her words with fervent hunger. Their exposure to the PA has caused them to develop cerebral lesions—"the fingerprints of God". Even Dr. Easterman has fallen under her spell. Enamored with her whispers, he hosted a grand "advent" in her name, further amplifying her influence.
Superficially, this shift appears promising, a potential breakthrough in the development of perfect sleeper agents.
In truth, the shift has pushed the foundations of Sinyala on the verge of collapse.
The CIA is hesitant to trust him, but after the disastrous Bay of Pigs caused by cutting Sinyala budget, they are forced to enable his ramblings. Facility Director Avellanos, however, is skeptical, watching his worsening madness with mounting alarm.
In a desperate attempt for stabilization, Avellanos authorized the activation of Murkboard, an experimental communication system designed to surveil and influence. But with communication comes connection.
The very people destined to be controlled may soon be the ones pulling the strings.

November 21st, 2007. The city of Washington DC. The capital city of the United States of America. For over two centuries the region of Washington DC was a fiefdom of the Camarilla. Brujah, Tremere, and Lasombra Princes sat on the throne until the Sabbat successfully took over the city in the Summer of 1999..
From 1999 to 2006, under the control of the Sword of Caine, Washington DC has fallen into a city of crime, corruption, drugs, violence, and death. Social stratification widened and gentrification expanded during this time at an exponential rate.
The stability, prosperity, expansion, and growth that Marcus Vitel of Clan Lasombra had fostered in DC vanished. That is until the remnants of the Camarilla absorbed what was left of the Anarch resistance and the two factions became one under the umbrella of the Ivory Tower. Joining with the Followers of Set, this unholy Trinity dealt major blow after major blow to the Sword of Caine. Now the city of Washington DC has returned back to the Camarilla.
A Brujah Prince once again sits on the throne. His name is Bjorn Garrison, a long time resident of the city, and reluctant leader. Surrounding him are old and familiar faces, many who have been changed by the recent history to the area.
