Settlers of the New World is a fast-paced, low-effort casual RP server which will be roleplaying from the first permanent British colony in the Americas to the Revolutionary War in 1776 (or perhaps earlier depending on what twists and turns this timeline takes!) This server is a synergy of nation roleplay, political simulators, and character roleplay: there's something for everyone.

NATION RP
Join a list of custom British colonies! These include the colony of St. Jude, New Suili (Irish colony), New Cardiff (Welsh colony), and Hudson's Bay. Or, you can play as a real colony such as the puritans of New England. If you don't want to be a British colony, you can be a foreign colony such as Quebec. You can also create a custom foreign colony such as Vladivostok or New Berlin. If you don't want to be a colony in general, you can play as a Native American tribe such as the mighty Iroquois Confederacy and try to survive in an increasingly hostile climate.

CHARACTER RP
The colonies were full of interesting characters as were Britain. While the Revolutionary Era saw the most famous of these (such as George Washington himself), other time periods have their own interesting figures such as Nathaniel Bacon and John Sassaman. The Native Americans had many eccentric chiefs and warriors as well. If you cannot find a real-life character to play, you can also create a custom one with endless possibilities!

POLITICAL SIMULATOR
While the colonies forged their own path, Britain was on another. You can become a politician and influence the empire through parliament, or you can be one of the many rebels. There will be server elections held for top positions such as Lord Chancellor and Prime Minister. Candidates are encouraged to campaign for these positions and write newspaper articles. And who doesn't like some good old-fashioned debate in British parliament?
