You can join to get to know other people who enjoy outerbanks, and if you're joining just to make some friends we can fill you in on the outerbanks stuff. It's a very good series (10/10 would recommend). Though if you're not interested in the OBX stuff then fear not you don't have to interact in the OBX channels. This place is a paradise for all!

Lennora Bay began as a tight-knit 1920s fishing and pearl-diving community on a lush island off Queensland, living simply off the sea and surf, until a group of powerful tycoons bought most of the land in the 1970s and transformed it into a gated luxury paradise for the elite. While resorts, modernist villas, and private transport brought wealth and outsiders, they also displaced locals, restricted surf breaks, and damaged the reef, leaving deep resentment behind. In the present day, the billionaires’ heirs live alongside long-time residents, fuelling tensions as new mega-resort developments threaten the remaining natural beauty. Protests, influencer activism, crowded ferry lines, and fiercely contested surf competitions keep conflicts alive, turning Lennora Bay into a sun-soaked but volatile setting where rivalries, betrayals, and unexpected friendships unfold in a slice-of-life atmosphere.
