Perhaps you weren't the greatest person. You made a few mistakes here and there. But regardless, an eternity of suffering while far worse people seemed to be taken by the Being seemed a bit much. You stumbled, legs finally giving up after what seemed like hours on the run. As your body crashed to the ground, you braced for an impact... one that never came.

Welcome to Etherial, a lore-driven SMP that takes place entirely underground. After 90% of humanity has a shared vision of "salvation," mass religious hysteria breaks out. One week later, all that remains are the unlucky few, left to face the tribulations on earth. They spend the first day running from beasts swarming the streets, purging the world of the last of humanity. Many die, but for some reason YOU are saved. Swallowed up by a sinkhole spawned from one of the many earthquakes that had broken out throughout the day, you find yourself in an expansive cave system deep below the surface. Armed with nothing but the clothes on your back, you and the other fallen must find a way to survive, exploring mysterious caverns and facing new challenges with the underground life, and perhaps uncovering the truth behind your situation.

Our server is a tight knit community that aims to develop a strong storyline and explore worldbuilding strictly through improvational means! YOU are the masters of your own destiny in this world, and your choices and actions directly influence the fate of Etherial. Set on a handmade, custom underground map, Etherial is modded for immersion and runs on 1.20.1.

This is a chill survival server! Feel free to join and invite your friends! The more the merrier :) However, we’ll only be accepting members who are 16+

This server is vanilla with a few simple plugins mostly to help staff monitor the server better (such as core protect & essentials). We also have simple voice chat! Nothing that really alters gameplay though, trying to keep it as vanilla as possible! We do have /spawn & /home, but no other tp commands. Crossplay compatible so available to all players, both java & bedrock!!! Also recently added an advancement plugin to give our members more things to do :)

Absolutely no stealing/griefing or toolbox or hacking/cheating of any kind is in any way allowed!!! Don’t join just to ruin other people’s fun!

I want this to be a very long term smp with a cool community that continues to grow and inspire each other as we build and collaborate on projects (no plans to reset anytime soon). We have a shopping district around spawn (currency is diamonds), have started a nether hub, and players can create mini games for others to participate in or let others come and sign up for (like in hermitcraft)!

Members of our server are really chill, helpful and very welcoming!!! Would love to have some new additions to the server and to make new friends that love the game :)

Note: you’re not expected to vc or be super social within the server, more than saying hi occasionally, although our members are very friendly! Feel free to join and quietly do your own thing & play as much or as little as suits you :) we understand life gets busy & not everyone can spend their days playing video games lmao. Although if we notice you’ve been inactive for over 3 months you may receive a message from us <3

Also be aware that there is a short form to fill out upon joining! This usually helps us filter out people who are only here to ruin everyone else's fun & helps our staff know a little about the people joining our community :)

There is an Info Center at /spawn which has some useful info about the plugins on the server. Inside the spawn tree is a hologram, just click trough the pages and it will explain the most important stuff

Our ranks are vote based, to obtain a rank, vote on the sites stated in ⁠voting-sites . More information about the perks you will get from every rank can be found at the top of the spawn tree.

Feel free to ask the Minecraft or discord server! Our community is friendly and happy to help. staff is also active on the discord and will also try to help as much as possible. if the problem is urgent like a cheater/spammer/advertiser that is doing stuff online or any other urgent issues, feel free to ping @Staff and they will try to fix the problem as fast as they can.
