About 400 years ago lived two groups of people. The Anomalous and The Non-Anomalous, the former possessed special abilities that are only able to be awakened through an increase of emotion, while the latter had no supernatural abilities whatsoever. While the Anomalous and Non-Anomalous lived very different lives, They came together to work cohesively in building a better future for both. One day, a great evil had risen up amidst the companionship and drove them apart, causing a seemingly irreparable rift. Eventually, a large portion of the Anomalous people had collectively decided to go into a hiding of sorts, whether that be hiding in plain sight under a different alias, or seeking solace in the wilderness away from any and all eyes. Years pass by and history slowly forgets about the "People with Supernatural Powers", chalking their existence up to children's stories or fisherman tales. In recent years, an outbreak of Anomalous people have emerged and has sent the world into an uproar, causing most governments to find a way to contain such people for safety of the public. From the chaos, arose an Academy with a foundation of hope and a vision to house the Anomalous people so that they are protected from both government reach and societies gaze; with the focus of training and guiding the Anomalous with newly awakened abilities, and further training Post-Awakened Anomalous people that have no other means of improvement and guidance. The academy has become a spearhead in the pursuit of joining these Supernatural power bearing people into the non Supernatural community.

Welcome to the small, fortress town of Rivergrave. A place booming with new hunters thanks to the popular guild by the name of Scattering Dusk. The guild was once run by the Guildmaster and the Co-Guildmaster raising it from nothing to what it is now. Unfortunately, the Guildmaster became blinded by his own power. Forcing the Co-Guildmaster into hiding for many years. Until recently. With his own forces brewing in the shadows and moves made in secret he was able to strike back against his prior friend and brother. Until, ultimately, a final confrontation in the very town he had spent so many years building. Reforming the guild in the newly vacant state the Co-Guildmaster has aptly renamed the town to Rivergrave to mark the death of one thing, and the building of something anew atop. While retaking his home was successful this did send the remnants of the previous guild scurrying off across the continent to hide away from the light.
Enter the hunters. The guild members of the newly established Scattering Dusk. Wanderers, mercenaries, vagabonds, all are welcome here at the guild. Home to any adventurer brave enough to stand up against the forces of darkness trying to hide. Their main goal is to hunt down and bring the fugitives to justice. For their crimes are punishable by death.

REQUIEM is a modern dark fantasy RP centered around two worlds. The Mortal Veil, mainly set in Aokawa City, and Yokaiten, a chaotic realm overflowing with magic, monstrous biomes, and lawless civilizations. The two main races are Humans and Apostles. Apostles are powerful non-human creatures from Yokaiten driven by greed, ambition, survival, and entertainment, often feeding on both humans and each other. Players can create their own unique Apostle species, ranging from skeletal warlords to grotesque horrors and mythical beings.
Between both races are Vestigials, humans capable of wielding Apostle power through vessel-like fusion. The core power system is Aura, split into five unique energies that all function differently through things such as alchemy, spiritual incantations, cursed corruption, contracts, and more. Humans rely on training, weapons, contracts, and learned techniques while Apostles wield Aura naturally as an innate force.

Before this age where the Night is Dark and full of monsters, the Church of Ignis and the Crown of Staggarath decreed practitioners of Heathen Magic be put to death. It was 150 years ago when the night went dark save for the lonesome moon, and the Church's Faith and Divine Light could no longer fend off the monsters in the dark. The Nobility of the land, for their own purposes, suggested they take up the Practition of Magic. With reluctance, Crimson Sigil Academy was formed to help defend the Nation from the Night.
The Church still loathes Magic, the Night is starting to become more dangerous, and the Nobility have become restless in pursuit of power. Will you stand with the True Faith of the Church or Heathen Practices? Will you bend the knee to the hierarchy of this institution you've been conscripted to or will you alter the course of history?
