An artificial semi-autonomous island city-state off the West coast of the USA, it was founded towards the end of the war against the Cursed. Now, what *are* Cursed, precisely? Well, they are particularly powerful individuals at the cost of their humanity. Every one of them are corrupted, and groups managed to overrun several powerful countries, and many more with an unstable political structure, leading to the war.

Contrary to the Cursed, and thankfully more common, are the Blessed. Without the corrupting to their minds, such individuals are the best defence we have. The island is vulnerable, and any suspected Cursed activity must be reported immediately. No exceptions. Do not engage with the Cursed. We will take them in for thorough questioning to keep you safe. The stability of our nation depends on you. It does not matter how nice they may seem, they will take any advantage they can, and turn against you in a heartbeat. Do not chance it, do not think you know better. Cooperation with the Cursed will ruin your life, one way or another.

Over three thousand years ago, humans went to war with elves. That war sparked a global conflict involving all races, a full-scale World War, the largest and longest war ever recorded, lasting three thousand years.

It has been just 150 years since the war ended. The world's technology has advanced so much that a person can now lose an arm and regrow it without the aid of magic. Laws have been enacted against casting. Citizens don't protest, kill, or commit crimes. The human population is slowly shrinking as they interbreed with elves and other races, such as the Viri people. As pure-blood humans become rarer, they are valued more highly. Crime is virtually extinct; only 3% of all citizens commit major crimes. Petty crimes are down to 5%, and education is skyrocketing. The era of the future is now.

But some things cannot be forgotten.

Since the beginning of the world's formation, the cosmic forces have been at war, fighting, stealing, creating, and reshaping one another. This long Over-God War dictated the formation of everything the world possesses today. Entire laws of reality emerged from conflict beyond mortal understanding. The gods did not simply rule existence—they competed over it, fractured it, and inherited pieces of one another until the world itself became the result of accumulated theft and creation. Yet despite their influence, these entities have become mostly forgotten. Their names disappeared from history, their worship faded, and many who still acknowledge them are considered heretical.

Civilization moved forward anyway.

Then it fell.

Dracomouth Biomancy Institute is a world recognised university for the study of elemental biomancy, students from all over come to this seaside town in order to study the in’s and outs of their respective element, there are multiple classes/forms you can practise and these different forms have different accommodations and interests and clubs.

Will you join the erratic and energetic fire course? Known for their pranks, their fiery abilities and raw power, or perhaps the sporty and popular clique of the thundermancers- Or perhaps you would like to go the calm life of a ground student, fans of animals and nature or the dreamancers who are those who which to understand themselves and others.

The institute has a dark history, there is an unofficial course for those after the sinister known as bloodmancy, the ability to control people's wills and to punish those who don't do their bidding, inside of bloodmancy are the rumours of “harvesters” known to dissect people and their magic in order to make bloodmancy stronger and snuff other the other talents.

Over half a millennia prior, multiple world-ending disasters struck simultaneously. The planet stopped spinning, remaining tidally locked to this day. Countless monsters ravaged the lands, annihilating everything they can. Entire oceans have changed, one filled with cursed blood, another filled with toxic waste. All sentient life was pushed to the brink of extinction, yet against all odds, they survived.

The current year is 411 A.D., After Disasters. Mankind has rebuilt. These lands are populated by species of all kinds, from Humans, Elves, Dwarves, to Angels and Demons, to various Beastfolk and Undead. Technology diversely differs depending on whether you're in the Dayside or Nightside on this unturning earth, ranging from spears and spells all the way up to futuristic firearms and cybernetics. Conflicts persist to this very day as more disasters quietly approach, unnoticed.
