# **The Lore of Lioria**

In the year 1450, the land of Lioria stands as a fragmented realm, its vast and fertile lands split into fourteen distinct countries. Once a united empire under the rule of the First Emperor centuries ago, Lioria’s lands have long been divided by the bloodlines of nobles, ancient pacts, and the ambitions of rival powers. The struggle between these countries is deeply rooted in history, with every generation inheriting not only the borders but also the grudges of their forefathers.

**The Rise of the Fourteen Nations**

Lioria’s fragmentation began over 300 years ago with the fall of the First Empire. The Emperor’s death left no clear heir, and the once-powerful imperial court was torn asunder by rival claimants. As the empire splintered, local rulers declared their independence, carving the land into distinct territories. Over time, these fiefdoms grew into powerful kingdoms, each with its own culture, language, and ambitions. These 14 Nations came to be known as:
