**What is this server about?**

In short:
An adult English club for those under the lgbtq+ umbrella who enjoy romance comics featuring gay men.

I’m too tired to write up a set of community initiatives but in essence: I want this server to prioritize deconstruction of writing and visual information over collective excitement for sexy tropes. We can have that too but I want to foster a space where the bar for queer media is raised and more thought provoking conversations are had.
I’m an idealist but this is my action.


**What’s with the funky diction?**

You’re likely to of heard of “Fujoshi” already, it’s a Japanese word pun meaning “Rotten girl” for women who enjoy fictional romance between guys.
Fudanshi or “Rotten boy” is the male equivalent. I am a man who enjoys fictional romance between guys, I am a fudanshi.
Additional terms relevant to the server are “Fukei”=“Rotten older brother” (term of seniority) and “Fujin”=“Rotten person”/androgynous. Kifujin “spoiled noble lady” and ochōfujin “Madame butterfly” are also terms used by older women.
I’m only familiar with the Japan-centric side of things so if you’d like to suggest a transliteration of a variant term from any country with a strong graphic novel industry, I’d be more than happy to add it. (South Korea, China, Philippines, other SEA, France, etc)


**Can I be here if I’m not a part of the lgbtq+?**

Unfortunately not—At this time I’ve resolved to keep this space restricted only to those who identify under the lgbtq+. This is for the safety of other members and to preserve the servers premise.


**Can I be here if I’m unhygienic?**
