Premise: It's the year 2055, and humanity is finally expanding beyond the horizons. . .
Welcome to the U.S.S Essempi, a space station that expands 20 kilometers; Not including it's numerous towers, and connected wings. Within the large expanse is a way of life, with water chambers, chain restaurants, medical bays, agriculture rooms, plenty of storage, and even a jail system; Meant to last for a minimum of ten years, with a maximum of fifteen.
A trial for humanity, to see if they can survive -- and thrive -- within the endless depths of space. Everyone aboard volunteered, allowing themselves to be taken away from friends and family into this journey. After going through a criminal background check and health exam, [your character] has been deemed fit to participate! Launch was five months ago, and yet still people are adjusting.
