I’ve been in here about 3 months. I usually only pop in 2–3 times a week for maybe 30–40 minutes when I'm off of gigs or not busy with other things. I’ve had the last week off, so I’ve actually been around enough to see how this place really functions, and it’s pretty disappointing.
The "Conversations": There are people in here who clearly want to talk, but the chat never actually goes anywhere. Like none of them know how to socialize with anyone. The one time we finally had a good, genuine conversation going, it got shut down by staff for "horny talk." The irony is that there was zero "horny" intent involved, I was just making a joke about tacos, yet I’ve watched the people running the place say actually derogatory and sexual things to people that were far far worse.
The Dynamics: It’s very cliquey. Unless you’re part of the main group, your input doesn’t matter. It’s annoying to be accused of insinuating something I wasn't doing by people who do and say far worse the second they think no one is looking. Then disappear. Hate hypocrites, any ways I am sure they will make some bs claim I was in the wrong or whatever. Well i am not in the mood to hear it.
Bottom Line: If you’re a busy person looking for a chill spot to hang out during your downtime, this isn't it. At best you will get a bunch of people saying hello but that is about as far as it goes. Because the second it does mods jump in. It’s mostly just insecure guys and double standards. There are better places to spend your time off.
