The New Era: A Superhero Story

You’re only allowed to give your character one power. That doesn’t seem that bad on paper of a rule until you realize your OC isn’t allowed anything else, like they even count regular learnt skills as powers for some odd reason I.e when u tried to explain my OC can use their energy manipulation to create different styles of beam attacks (same ability just using it in a multitude of ways).

Furthermore they’re strict even when it comes to your characters origin as they said you’re not allowed to have an alien or lab experiment, both pretty common superhero tropes. In some instances, I can handle when a server has strict rules but what was the real dealbreaker for me was the attitude of the moderators reviewing characters. Very rude in how they address the people they’re approving OCs for, they don’t read the sheets in their entirety in the first go around and come back multiple times to chastise someone’s character and annoyingly add on more things to change. Lastly, they’ll talk over you and don’t give you room to speak at all during this process usually just going on and on and dragging out something that maybe only needed one of two sentences to be resolved into paragraphs.
