★ Hey you! Are you Black American/Soulaan who’s interested in things like Greek mythology, paganism, and the Yoruba pantheon, and wondered to yourself “do we have something like that in our culture?” Because we do! And this server is dedicated to uncovering it.

According to anthropologists such as Miles Newbell Puckett, who studied and documented our culture (with a focus on folk beliefs), Black Americans have a long, rich history of myths, legends, folklore, deities, and spirits that exist outside of any other religion, mainstream or folk, and are completely unique to our culture. You may have heard of Brer Rabbit, John Henry, and Anansi, but what about Old King Sun, the Gray Eagle, the Morrow, or Unkus? ☆

Our goal is to educate as many other Black Americans on this fascinating part of our culture and history as we can, as some of these myths are no longer well known, and some have even been lost to time. Our mythology deserves the same level of recognition and respect as Greek mythology. ☆
