It's Wednesday, March 23rd--sometime early morning. There is a boy, sitting upright on his bed, in clothes far too big for him. His name is Leander.

There's a letter sitting lethargically on his desk. It's from Culpaes University. He's been putting off opening it for weeks, but today is finally the day..!

He opens it, and...

"We are pleased to inform you that "

He didn’t have to read anything more.
He holds the paper in his hand, turning it over, tilting it, folding it...
Yet, any feeling he's able to muster evanesces in an instant.

Then, in a moment that felt like hours, that felt like a moment, he is plunged into an unearthly mindscape of his own making.
One that, from the outside, may not be seen or felt, and from the inside, is more felt than seen.

PAPERSKIN is a mixed-style RPG/sidescroller hybrid that explores the experience of a fragile identity, slowly shifted until unrecognizable.

Including:
- A psyche manifested into several distinct areas, each with their own sectors.
- Mixed-media visuals.
- Multi-faceted decisions, which may subtly affect encounters, interactions, and outcomes.
- Encounters with Poltergeist, fragments of the headspace, in sidescroller arenas.
- Enemies which are not simply mindless creatures, but may have something akin to personality, goals, hopes…
- A turn-based battle system in which battles never progress through physical attacks, but with interactive choices (dodge, choose, rinse and repeat until battle is over).
- Introspective writing.
