Shaming and disregarding triggers
I had been in this server for a couple months, and for that while I had no issues and never heard of any behavior from the staff team that was problematic. I sent the disboard link to a friend to get him to join, and went to sleep. I woke up to him being banned because he was uncomfortable sharing my username when asked who gave them the server link because it has to do with a trigger of his. Instead accepting that and letting him in but keeping an eye on him, they were essentially interrogated and INTENTIONALLY triggered. They spoke up multiple times to the owner, who was relentlessly questioning them, that the way they were being talked to was extremely triggering. The owner did not seem to really care and basically ignored that fact to continue to try and pry my name from them. It wasn't even until halfway through this conversation that the owner finally offered for my friend to dm them, but by then the damage had been done and my friend was entirely unwilling to dm them. Towards the end of this conversation, the owner started to try and turn the tables and expressed their own discomfort and lamented about how hard it was to be a server owner and that they had feelings too. At this time, the other owner, who I want to note is personally related to the first owner, stepped in and said, I quote, "your triggers mean jack shit to me (:". It wasn't long after this my friend was forcibly removed from the server.
I cannot express how disgusted I was to wake up and hear this. Apparently, this is not the first time the owners, particularly the second one, have made someone feel unwelcomed and disrespected their triggers. I'm unsure of how many cases there are of this, but for this to even happen in the first place makes me very hesitant to tell anyone about this server ever again out of fear they may be harassed over a trigger they have. Being a DID/OSDD server, the owners should be very conscious and caring about triggers, not say they mean "jack shit" to them. I really hope to see change for the better among staff behavior for this server.

This has been discussed in private and both parties were heard.

The situation was cleared out. When the apology during the initial conversation was ignored, another one was made later on during the explanation.

These kind of situations happen rarely but we are still sorry that they do happen.
We will be working on avoiding hiding our own feelings and triggers during such conversations. Since, this is what mostly caused it to escale as well.

Toxicity alert
We used to love this server, but it's full of nothing but toxicity and drama. After recently getting into a bunch of drama here, I hope this review stays after we leave the server. Because we want people to know that the people (specifically the staff) aren't as nice as they seem here.

I can understand that you may have your own opinions on the server. We accept any kind of criticism, if constructive.

However, I would prefer for personal issues you had with the staff due to your OWN actions to be kept outside of these reviews. Your own feelings towards people who used to be your friends shouldn't impact your review on the server.

Your feelings and opinions are valid. But people shouldn't see personal drama as the first review of a server. Personal drama is by definition personal. It happens between two or more people. It is supposed to be kept private.

I will never expose publicly my opinion on what happened because I respect you and your privacy. However, it seems like it isn't a shared common sense.
But I'll keep my words. What happened is for us in the past, and we will never share it publicly.

One of the better system servers !!
This server is safe, friendly, and very social almost always and seems to be happy to help and guide newer systems/system members. We joined around a year ago due to not having a real place to be or feel accepted as a system, but when we found DG, it felt like home.

While there is a longer trigger list and many rules, getting over that learning curve - just like any server - and finally knowing your way around is worth it! DG has very friendly staff members and many helpful individuals!
