The world, it was a complicated place. One day, years ago, Quirks had formed. And it was complicated, but alas, the world adapted. In fact Quirks became more common than Quirkless, and the world was adapted to that, fighting and protecting villainy with Quirk versus Quirk. Raising new heroes. It was the normal.

However, one day? That all changed.

Someone's Quirk, while most didn't really know whose it was, had the ability to spread disease. Everyone who knew about it? They thought this user had it under control. Was immune even.

However...

As the time passed, they discovered that they themselves had caught the infection of their own Quirk.

They lost control, as were the affects of the Quirk, they lost their control of themselves entirely even. And the Quirk spread. It was no longer controlled. It was no longer under wraps. It was everywhere.

It was now a full widespread contagion, with no one who knew how to cure or stop it.

Those once renowned for being powerful, and able to protect the Quirkless, were now feared, as their Quirks that once brought them fame? Now were volatile weapons that once infected, even they would lose control over.

The disease, the Quirk Killing Disease, as it is often called.
