I love this server. Admins go out of their way to create a friendly and encouraging place. And you have to see their contests, both music and art! The Contest Listening Parties are truly a show!

A bunch of People mixed up and put under one roof, an Mod team thats kind, usefull and surprisingly nice. (I straight up messed around with 4 Mods and 2 Admins the first 30 mins after i joined.

Finally, a place worth staying in

I have been in and out of so many community servers that all have the same problems:
- people are rude and harass others openly under the guise of "it's just a joke, chill out."
- rampant bigotry not-so-cleverly disguised as "different opinions"
- endless spam from people who only see you as eyes for their work, giving nothing back to the community
- porn, just droves of porn everywhere, hundreds of images a day from the same users
- pick me culture where everyone wants attention but nobody cares to listen
- mods and admins that not only refuse to enforce rules, but actively break many of their own rules
The Scratching Post has none of this crap. People are friendly, the staff are actually awake and monitoring all the time to make sure the environment stays chill and fun, community interaction is rewarded while spammers are ignored, and best of all they actually give a shit about keeping their server's good name intact!
I was skeptical when I first joined - every place puts their best foot forwards - but after two weeks I think I'm confident enough to say I belong here. There's been a few times I had a foot out the door, ready to run because of some drama, but these staff are so kind and did everything possible to make me feel like I belonged and was wanted.
If you're tired of the spam and heartless communities like AIU and OCH, this place is absolutely for you.
