You survived a Trial.
That was enough to mark you.
You got a power out of it.
A way to survive. Some food, a roof from the rain, fresh breathing air.
Maybe even a way to matter.
You’re Blessed.
You can fight your way up if you want.
Or don’t.
Some people get strong.
Some get smart.
Some just don’t get caught.
What does it matter, as long as you have food on your plate?
Lately though, things have been off.
People ending up in the same place.
Events moving too fast.
Somethings pushing everything forward.
"This is the finale..."
This server has a genuine overarching plot, a rarity nowadays. The story can be *actually* affected by active characters, and the focus is on good storytelling.

Active staff, friendly community (excluding me, I am a menace), really cool world and lore. 10/10 definitely recommend if you're into rp servers

Having been in Memory Eater since essentially its opening, I can definitively say that this has been one of my favorite Discord servers in a long time. Though it's loosely inspired by a webnovel, I've never read the story and have found the original lore and concepts of the server very easy and fun to comprehend and digest. Not to mention, the writing within the server is generally fantastic. As someone that tends to prefer writing lit+ or novella, I've found no lack of good partners, and the owner achieves a great level of detail when GMing scenes.
I believe there's something for everyone in this server, whether you're looking for good action, personal development, power progression, or deep lore mysteries to explore. The staff are excellent at rewarding active players with unique lore, cool items, or epic moments in the story. As of writing this review, we've just started the second major plot line - the first having ended after around a month of active writing, and it seems to only be getting better and better.
Of course, for the sake of transparency it's important to note that there are some things that could be improved. Some members of the community say some distasteful things, and a few writers overcompensate for mediocre writing by flooding their posts with fonts and visuals. But even with those things said, I've found it to be a truly good and memorable experience, and the majority of the community are truly kind, funny, and good writers.
I would absolutely recommend joining Memory Eater and giving it a chance, especially if you're a fan of fantasy, post-apocalyptic settings, mysteries, or just plain good writing.
